Yeah I did agree to certain terms when I closed my account. I'll still end up paying it off earlier than expected.

That's nice of Chase to do. Just curious, why was your Chase Freedom account closed?

Long story short,  I closed it. Due you have the same card?

I have a Chase Freedom Visa Signature card (18k CL, 12.99% APR).

Hmm. The one I had was just straight Chase Freedom and it was actually a Mastercard, rather than Visa.

To the best of my knowledge, the Chase Freedom card comes in 4 different versions:

  1. Chase Freedom Visa
  2. Chase Freedom Visa Signature
  3. Chase Freedom MasterCard
  4. Chase Freedom World MasterCard

WOW, I didn't know that. When I applied for mine in 07, I vaguely only remember seeing the MC card offered.

well the visa siggy and the WMC have a minimum qualifable CL of at least 5K.  They won't let you get them or PC to them until you can qualify for at least 5K

Re: Chase

Chase Freedom Visa is the default card issued. (Visa Signature if you qualify.)

If you want the MasterCard version, the app has to specify it's for a MC. (World MasterCard if you qualify.) http://www.mastercard.us/find-a-card.html

For example, if you app from the Chase website, you'd be app'ing for the Visa version. I believe this is true for all Chase credit cards, at least currently.
