Can anyone verify that a walmart credit card is still a soft inquiry as of now? I was told by several people that it's a hard inquiry but then stumbled upon this forum. Just want to make sure.

Walmart is typically a SP 100% of the time.

For cli's only-its a sp. To open a new tl, like 99.99% of new accounts it's a hp.

Yeah that's what I meant...sorry I failed to mention that partSmiley Surprised

Not sure if the list will be updated, but here's the only one I haven't seen listed:

Elan (through Susquehanna Bank): HARD. For me, it was done through Transunion.

Best Buy is a hard pull on EQ. I don't see it on TU or EX but it definitely showed on EQ. Maybe because they are Citi now and not Cap1?

Re: Check to see if a card pull Hard or Soft when requesting a CLI

My DW got a JCP card last month (store card) and today she did a chat with support, they say if the consumer asks for the CLI it will be a HP, only automatic CLI are SP.

Is this because the change from GECRB to SYNCB? She got the card with only $400, so it's the lowest limit for her.

Completely escaped me also. At least it's still valid for the most part.
