Chevron Texaco Card: A new use

Um, flowers and plants!

Got an email from Chevron Texaco offered by GECRB: if you're like me and you got this card thinking that you could use this card to buy gas only to discover there isn't a gas station within 50 plus miles that takes it, here's a new use:

Guess the card can be used also at Teleflora.com to buy their products.

[Find your products, check out as normal, and under payments you'll see the Chev/Tex card as an option to pay just like other major credit card types]

So if you need to buy Mommy's Day flowers or even a $100 towering ficus house plant, here's your chance to put your Chev/Tex gas card to good use!

This does work as I used the card - finally - to make a purchase. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use this line of credit at all due to the no near-by gas stations situation but now...well, now, there's finally a use for this card.

I swear it: the Victoria Secret's card and this one has been the Bane of my existance! Both cards begging (needing?!?) to be used for stuff I don't need at all.

The price of establishing credit history!

Re: Chevron Texaco Card: A new use

Just the one little problem, Chase and Discover cards both have ways to get 5-10% or more back on florist purchases, And the super high APR better be sure to PIF.  So it still feels like an extremely expensive way to use the card, might be better if they just charged you a dollar a month to keep it open.
