Circuit City Store Card - Chase Says Changing to Best Buy w/Same Limit

Just got a letter in the mail from Chase indicating my Circuit City store card would be honored at Best Buy, and that in early May I would be receiveing a new card in the mail (Best Buy branded).  It also indicated that my account number, credit limit and APR would stay the same.

FYI for all you other Circuit City store card holders that could not get upgraded to Visa or PC'd to something else like me.

Gee, wish Chase would take over my HSBC BB store card...

Congrats to you CC cardholders! I'm glad someone came through for you.

And kudos to the BB management for thinking outside the box. I wonder what kind of sweet-talking they had to do with HSBC.

*dreams of BB cutting relations with HSBC and switching to a grown-up bank*

Isn't Chase stingier than HSBC Retail Services when it comes to CLI's?

I don't think so.

I have less than 3 years of credit history, and I am up from $300 to $6200.

I've had my Freedom for not even a year yet and the CL has gone from $2000 to $3000 without any requests from my end.
