Citi is really good about APR reductions. I have a Hilton at prime plus 1.74 so currently with the new increase is 5.74, i also have a 5.74 DC, a 8.49 AA, and a 15.74 Dividend MC. Just ask and citi will do it.

Wow that's a really good APR! I thought they were really stingy with the Double Cash and wouldn't let it go down under 14%.- it's incredible yours is under 6. They must really like you
Thanks to this thread I got my Citi AA MC from like 21 to 13.99%. They wont go any lower. It only took 5 different chats over 2 weeks to accomplish.
Another 2% reduction! They did offer me two options today as others had mentioned. Huh? Who takes the 1% vs the 2% reduction?
Another 1.75% reduction! Since attempting this, I've got the APR down to 14.99% from 22.49%.
Through a phone call yesterday and a chat today I have manged to lower my DC APR from 24.24% to 20.74% Hopefully with a bit more time I can get down to around 17%.

wow that is great to hear! making me have second thoughts on taking my 3.99% 1 yr promo...that prevents me from asking for reductions..... looks like citi may be back to doing real reductions after all.
the best way to get a citi DC with a low APR is to have an american airlines card, get that reduced, then PC to DC, or so Ive been told
Hopped on chat today and lowerd my interest rate another 2% to 18.74!
Do other banks (Amex, Cap1, Chase) do this or is this peculiar to Citi? How hard is it typically to get APR reductions from other banks?
I believe it a Citi thing. Cap1 will only do promotional reductions for like 7 months. I believe Amex is the same. Don't know about Chase.
