I got an email that my Citi American AAdvantage card is going to make some changes:
Drop the $100 credit after spending 30,000. Ok. Doesn't affect me.
No FTF after November 15, 2015. This is quite good.
Barclay's Aviator Red card has no FTF, so in that respect Citi is just playing catch-up.
The $100 credit after 30k spend is no real loss either. I can think of many other cards I'd rather put that 30k spend on.
Thank you for sharing the information with us!!!
What surprised me after getting the email is receiving account agreement mail from Citi yesterday (I got it for AA and one other, expecting it for my other two cards soon). The AA one, which goes into effect Nov (7th?) still lists the FTF with no indication it is going away. Thought they would have at least noted that was changing in the 15 page agreement!
