Citi CLI Decline For People with BK's...

Interesting news from citi today.  I applied for a CLI on my citicard (this was a secured card I opened in 2009, 2 months after my ch 7 bk was discharged, it was secured for 18 months then unsecured)  the credit limit is 200.00 and has been since I opened it.  I have never been late or over the CL.

Every CLI request I submitted since the card was opened in 2009 said it got declined for a public record filed or serious delinquincy.

Well, I was thrilled to see, today when I tried for the CLI, the only reasons for the denial were:

- balances too high compared to credit limits

- balance too high on citi card compared to credit limit.

There was NO mention of the bk or public record as a reason for the denial.

So, for all of you with a citi card that is a little over 4 yrs post bk discharge and have been declined a CLI in the past, you have hope!!
