Thanks, Jolleh! Great info to know!

If you do it through the phone make sure you get them to verbally say that it won't be a hardpull. CSRs can be mistaken and you want that verbal acknowledgement just in case.

Has anyone else gotten a CLI from Citi recently?

Throwing it out there and hoping to find more examples...

Re: Citi CLI

Offered 8K at approval for Prestige last week and I asked for a higher limit...rep said 17.5k was doable...which I accepted.

Re: Citi CLI

Hit the 6 month mark on my AAdvantage card not too long ago. Did the online CLI request to double my $5K limit to $10K and was counteroffered with $1500 auto CLI. No HP was done per the wording on the confirmation page after I accepted.

Re: Citi CLI

I gotta say the same. They have been surprisingly nice to me. Got approved for the Simplicity back in March for 2K. I got approved for the Thank You Premier for 5k last month and requested a CLI on my Simplicity and was approved for that also. I really wanna get the Aadvantage Visa cuz about to purchase some tix for my parents to Latin America but i dont think it would be a good idea to apply for a 3rd CC with them in less than six month.

Re: Citi CLI

Thanks all. Unfortunately Wells Fargo has been absolute crap. It was my first rebuilder - $300 secured limit in November 2011 which was graduated to unsecured in December 2012. Had to request a CLI and they only increased the limit to $500 in January 2013. Tried calling for a CLI today and they almost did a HP, at which point I declined. Apparently, if the computer system does not automatically approve your request you get forwarded to a different department. At that point, any CLI request is a HP. I was not told this and, had I not asked, it would have been an inquiry for what would have probably amounted for a CLI of no more than $500. They said they like to have people wait 6-9 months before requesting new CLIs. What a load of garbage. If it wasn't my oldest active CC I would ditch it immediately.

Re: Citi CLI

Kimbia, could you explain more about what the screens you pressed on your online request looked like?

I'm interested In figuring out why some people get SP and some get HP. Thanks.
