Do any of you know how Citi views their cards? I was considering a PC from my Dividend to the Thank You Preferred to increase the vallue of the Thank You Points I earn from my Forward, but don't know whether this would be a lateral or vertical move, or whether it would be moving a step down in their eyes. I like some of the beneifits that the Dividend gives me over the Forward (namely better customer service and a year-end summary), and don't want to give these up.
I'm also interested in this. I currently have the Platinum Dividend card, but was thinking of changing to the Hilton Honors. How do the Hilton points translate into dollars and cents value-wise? Do you know whether you can keep your same interest rate and credit line if you switch cards?

I doubt if Citi cares about a step up or down. If you don't want to simply apply for a new TY Pref, you just have to decide which is more important to you: increasing the value of the Forward points or getting the better customer service and year end summary.
Note that many redemptions with the Forward are the same as those with the Preferred ($100 gift cards, student loan/mortgage checks). The Preferred is also improving its reward structure in July.
