Citi Decline Recon Number

I was declined by citi and tried the general app status numbers. The supervisors on those lines were unable to help. I put some time into it, and eventually got this number from a high up agent:

605-331-1698 credit card presidential office

I hope this number is helpful to you. They are putting significantly more effort into helping me than any other department has.

Too many INQs & low AAoA so I'm off to tend the Garden.     Age:23

Nothing ventured nothing gained.  Did you take the HP already?  If so what have you got to lose by calling?

Might as well exercise all of your rights (or whatever this is called the we keep doing calling the backdoors)!

Re: Citi Decline Recon Number

Alright well I just called the number and spoke to a very nice lady. She said she still doesn't see a decision on my application but said she will look into it and call me back when she finds something. She did say that a decision can sometimes take up to 30 days which is insane. At this point I think I am declined but I would just like a stupid anwser already. It is crazy that a decision is taking so long. I dont even have the card yet and I am already regretting applying to Citi

UPDATE

Called the number for an update she said she needs some documentation to verify my address and verify income

I faxed and emailed pay stub and utility bill. Sorry to be so short using iPad now lol

Anyone know why they need to verify? Or experience in sending in documents and the reply
