Citi Diamond Preferred Card

Hi all,

I want to request a credit limit increase on my CITI Diamond Preferred Card. Current limit is $10K. I don't want it to be a hard pull and when I inquired, their answer is:

"we're unable to comment if a credit increase request will trigger a "hard" or "soft" inquiry."

Does anyone know for sure? I definitely don't want to waste an inquiry on a credit limit increase request.

Thanks!

Re: Citi Diamond Preferred Card

Go to the CLI page on the website. It should say either "a bureau report will not be request" or "a credit report will be obtained to evaluate your request". The former is a SP, the latter is a HP.

Also i'm not so sure if it's been posted much as to if you decided to go the HP route if Citi might pull a double inquiry on 2 bureaus or only one.

Just something maybe to mill over with on a decision if the SP offer is not available for you.

Re: Citi Diamond Preferred Card

From your Citi account page click on Request Crdit Limit Increase. If it asks you how much of an increase you want, those are hard pulls. If it just asks for annual income and mortgage payment, those are soft pulls.
