So i recently applied for citi and the chase card and got approved for both which is awesome! Which card company offers more or higher CLI's? I plan on using one of these cards alot since it's 0% apr for a year or so. So the credit card company that offers the better increase i am going to use the most.

I've gotten more CLIs from Citi than Chase. Other than one on my Freedom a couple years ago, I have never gotten any auto CLIs on my Chase accounts. Everytime I ask, it requires a HP. I've declined as I don't really need higher limits.
Of course, YMMV. Especially if you don't mind HPs, you may be able to get more from Chase.

well.....side by side they are about the same. Chase doesnt really do huge limits one card at a time, and if I was desperate for a chase slate you better believe there would be limit moving from a cobranded card involved.
citi dc would give you possibly 3 extra months to pay but would have a BT fee, but would possibly take an extra HP to get the CL higher.
Citi and Chase both can pull 1 or 2 bureaus for an approval. I hear more of BT offers post intro period for Citi than chase, so citi seems to be better long term.
I would say Citi would be your best bet to have use reported. Chase could probably care less, and if you want any significant CLIs you would be best adding cards, as Chase HP CLIs dont tend to be significant.
Yes, i actually did transfer a balance to the chase slate card which is the reason i opened the card it was preapproved. In the future i was going to apply for the freedom card and transfer the slate into the freedom which i have read some people doing. But thats a valid point on the purchases 2% cash back on purchases is better then 0. I appreciate the fast responses
I have had Chase Slate for ten years and never received a CLI, even after agreeing to take a HP.

I can't speak to the CLI question, but I wouldn't focus on that. The Slate card is designed as a balance transfer card. Even though it has 0% APR for a year, you are wasting its potential if you only use it for purchases. Not only does the DC have 0% APR for a year, it also features 2% cash back. Would you rather have 2% cash back on purchases or 0% cash back? Not sure why anyone would go with the Slate for purchases, regardless of CLI policies.
Agreed!
I focused on Citi vs Chase CLI angle, kind of forgot OP was referring to Slate
DC is definitely much better card. IMO, other than the ability to transfer the CL to another Chase card, Slate becomes pretty useless after the initial BT offers.
10 years no CLI's geez that's crazy. I recently hit the luv button on my QS card and got a $2000 increase i only had the card 4 months

Exactly!
Comparing the DC and Slate is sort of like comparing apples and oranges. One is a great BT card and one is a great rewards card. I'd strongly suggest figuring out which of those is more important/useful to you than focusing on CLIs.
If you don't already have a balance to transfer to the Slate...then personally I wouldn't have recommending apping for it at all, but without a balance to transfer the DC is the better card hands down, and is anyway for purchases.
Anecdotally I have the Chase Freedom and Citi Double Cash and they happen have identical credit limits. I asked for and received the same amount on both without a problem.
