So I applied for the Citi Hilton Hhonors Visa Signature card. After being declined, I gave Citi a call and spoke to their concerns. The CSR stated she would have the underwriting department look at it and get back to me. A few days pass with no phone call, so I decide to use the "check my status" link on their site... Bam! Approved for Hilton Honors Visa Gold 4k limit.
There is a statment that Visa Gold does not carry the same benefits, my question is do I still acrue points the same? Also, what about credits towards preferred status? I can't find this information anywhere. I'm sure it will come with my welcome package, but I'm a little impatient right now.

The reason for the statement about different benefits is not the rewards structure. It is due to you being selected for the Gold not Signature version. Visa Signature cards comes with added protection benefits and concierge service. That is all that should be different, I had the same message on one of my cards with Citi.
Congrats on the card though!
