I got a strange collection deleted from my EQ over the weekend which had been on my reports for about two weeks so I got up the courage to hit the citi luv button. Boom! Asked for 4k to double my limit and was granted $2200 (they seem to use oddball amounts) to raise my limit to $6300. I used the online form and they did not pull a hard.
I love the luv buttons and the CLIs. When this reports in a few weeks it will knock my utilization down to less than ten percent. I did a 3k BT about a month ago at 0% for a year to the citi card because free money is always nice.
Anyway, this is always a fun game. I'm waiting a year to see how my life unfolds (divorced in 2010) and I may start mortgage hunting...
Is Citi luv button a soft or a hard pull?
just curious, how long have you been with citi? 6 months or more?

+1
I've been with citi for a long time. I got the card in 2004 and then suffered a massive CLD in 2010. This is my second CLI from them in the last 14 months.
The general consensus around here is that citi will give you a soft pull cli every six months. I have used the form online before six months and got a denial saying they didn't pull a new report and "based on a previous account review" soft inquiry or that it was "to soon since the last increase" and to ask after a specific date
