Re: Citi Plat Select

I apped for CITI Plat Select MC in 07-2007

My initial credit limit was 3.6K (a small limit compared to my other cards at the time).

CITI pulled my EQ score and it was 756.

CL now is 10.1K.

Re: Citi Plat Select

I applied for the Citi Plat Select back in March 09 and I am from Texas they pulled Equifax and my FICO score was 733. I was turned down due too many inquiries.

I reapply today for a AAdvantage Mastercard hope to get approve this time.

Re: Citi Plat Select

Apped March 2009...EX was pulled...score 743....received CL $4000.

Citi is very inquiry sensitive. I had only one 6 mth old iinquiry on my report at time of app. I have read that they won't approve with more than 4 inquiries. YMMV

BTW...just received a $2000 CLI  on the 4 month anniversary of this card.

Re: Citi Plat Select

Opened July 2008 citi pulled Equifax which at that time was my lowest score. Not sure what it was. CL was $1000 than 3 months later incresed to $2000 4 months later increased to $4000 and finally increased again at another 3 months to $5800. I always kept a balance on it. Not sure if that makes a difference.
8/1/2008 TransUnion 732 Equifax 685 Experian 712 1/19/2009 TransUnion 726 Equifax 706 Experian 722 7/8/2009 TransUnion 736 Equifax 726 Experian ??? 10/22/2009 TransUnion 745 Equifax 734 4/23/2010 Transunion 751 Equifax 727

Re: Citi Plat Select

It seems everyone pulls Experian here in the gulf coast area. (makes it tough to keep the inqs down, so I just stopped doing anything that could cause one)

I had 767 at the time and got instant approval for $4500.00. Over a two and half year period the limit has been raised to twelve thousand. This occurred with three new cards from them within a six month period. All are now around twelve.

My SO also got the CITI PLAT SELECT and the numbers followed mine. Six months ago my SO also got the CITI AMEX for the BT and it is about to go over ten.

All of the limits are the result of auto button and probably the fact that we are using the heck out of these card.

We got them on the heals of massive increases by BOA, and feel there was an effort to meet those limits and or encourage the use of CITI'S cards.

Good luck,

CI

Re: Citi Plat Select

Thanks everyone for your inputMan Wink. I've been hearing good things about this card and I think I will app it. I have one more card to add to my wallet. After that,no more for another 3 years!

As luck would have it,they pull TU (supposedly) in my state. No inqs on TU in 2 years
