What is the best use of the prestige airline credit if you do not have an immediate trip scheduled? I was thinking about just buying AA gift cards again, but don't know if someone has since found a way to get the credit to amazon or a better idea.

Or buy more GC. Keep in mind, the GC's can't be used for MCE.
What is MCE? What do you recommend as a better use of the credit? I was just thinking of buying gift cards of the AA cash value so $250 of AA airfare not miles.

Why wouldn't gift cards count as cash? I don't understand the logic in that. Is there a better way to use the credit other than purchasing a flight straight out? Can you use the airline credit on taxes or fuel surcharge for an award redemption?
