Citi TY Preferred - I feel good.

So I send a secured message about PCing my current Citi card. They said to call this number blah blah blah, and I got this offer:

Citi TY Preferrered with 11.99apr after the promotion.

I told them that I will think about it, but rather PC.

I'm so proud of myself! Still in the garden, I know 09Lexie would be proud Smiley Surprised

Does Citi HP for PC? Why would it be leaving the garden?

A product change doens't require a Hard Pull for Citi (at least in most cases). However, the OP's wording implies that Citi offered him to apply for a 2nd account but he would prefer to product change vs. doing a new application + adding a new account (leaving the garden).

Re: Citi TY Preferred - I feel good.

Ty all. Product change does not produce HP. Sometimes you kept account number sometimes you don't, but you will keep payment history and the age of account. Citi has been trying for me to open new account for ages.

They even send me $200 code for opening checking with them. Keep offering 0% apr on my card including BT.
