Citi will counter your CLI if you do it online and asked too much.

This happened to me as well. HOWEVER... nice thing is since I applied for the TY Preferred I did recieve that sign on bonus (and confirmed this would be the case with the CSR). Oddly enough after one month my apr went from 18.99 to 12.99 and then a month later I received an online notification a new card was mailed out. Turns out its the Preferred card that is replacing my regular TY card.

Haha. I've been on a roll. After not apping since late January, I went all out last month. Getting Approved for, in order.
