Citi balance transfer

Long-time lurker, first-time poster.  I have a balance on a Citi card of 10,000 with a 21,500 limit.  They are currently offering me a 0% through 7/16 with 5% fee.  If I took the balance transfer of 10,000 as a direct deposit then turned around and paid the balance down by 10,000 would that be ok? Too suspicious?  I know I would pay th 5% fee plus some residual interest but it would still beat my current 13,99% rate.  Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Citi balance transfer

Your 10k payment is going to pay off the BT first.  So you're plan is going to result in your balance increasing by the 5% bt fee.  This will not work don't do it.
