Do you remember which CR Citi pulled?
Citi has always pulled Experien for me, here in Georgia. I have 3 credit cards with Citi and like clockwork, after my 4th statement I get an increase and continue to do so every four months. I've been told the policy is 6 months for new accounts.....in my case, it was 4. The increases have all been self initiated and never has my credit been pulled for a CLI. Hope that helps.
Pretty sure it's still 4 months even for new cardholders. I had 2 friends that both got increases at 4 months with no credit pull. It's usually instant online and you click accept to have the new CL implimented, some have reported about having to call in.
we tried to get a CLI on the plain old platinum select card before the six months.......no dice. JME.
Maybe this explains why there's a request CLI link when I sign in now. It's been 4 months for me and I'm not sure if I should click it since I don't want a hard pull. Can anyone tell me how would I know if it's a soft pull before I click the button and how much is a normal request for an initial cli with Citi? I have $4,000 credit line.
I have not used my citi card since july . I am not sure when it happened but sometime between today and my last statement which was july's i got a 5k increase on the card. It was 12.5k , now its 17.5k!
Did anyone here try to call in after online CLI was denied? Any problem with doing so? Will it cost a HP if call in? Thanks.
