Hi ! I have a quick question for some of you citi cardholders..I recently got an AAdvantage Visa with Citi..I applied for the Citi Forward last week and yesterday I got a response stating I was denied for Citi applications/cards recently..
Does this mean you can only get and be approved for certain # of Citi cards in a certain time frame etc?
Thanks for your help!
A little more detail about the timeframe?
Most banks have an internal limit for how much credit they'll grant you. If you hit that limit, they deny any further applications. If you have enough room on the AA card, you may consider asking Citi to reconsider if you transfer some of your available credit over to the new card.
Hey! thanks for the response..I have applied for both within 60 days..i thought Citi had something like that..I have enough to transfer off the AAdvantage (cl is $13000)..I checked and I don't have an inquiry for the 2nd app..
So it's possible to have another card I just need to wait I'm guessing probably 3-6 months or longer..
thanks!
Bamagirl,
I applied for 4 Citi cards between Feb and May of this year and was approved on all 4. Two in Feb, One in Apr and One in May. I believe you can have up to 5 but they only allow two apps in 60 period and when the max credit line is reached based on income, no more approvals
