Citi prestige airline credit

I decided I want to go ahead and use my prestige airline credit and just buy some AA GCs so I don't need to worry about using the credit later. Where do I go to buy AA giftcards to make sure it triggers the airline credit? Through the AA website somewhere or via the AA shopping mall?

I've always just bought the electronic ones on AA.com.
