Has anyone asked for "credit movement" with their two or more Citicards to combine the limit.
A rep said you have to say you want to do a "credit movement" and they will combine the two limits.
If you did request this..how long did it take. ?
I just had the request put through
I have had no success after several requests. It seems like I remember reading about others doing so though.
The rep on the phone said she has seen very few not go through
What do you mean you have not had success ?
Did you say the words "I want to do a credit movement" ?

I have asked repeatedly over the past 4 months, and have been told by every single rep with whom I spoke that Citi does NOT allow customers to combine credit lines. I last asked about 3 or 4 weeks ago.
I've done it a couple of times. I moved Hilton credit line to AA EXEC and also moved AA to AA EXEC. Andy it takes a few days to complete.
From what I have been told, the rules change from time to time. So specialists have been able to do this (moving all but $5K of a CL from a card I planned to close) but most recently the rules forbid it all.
Now it's possible that there is a magic phrase "credit movement", but that would be strange. We would then have to search for other phrases which reduce your APR to 0, give you SP CLIs and maybe pay for your purchases....
I logged into my account this AM......they moved 6700.00 out of 7000.00. So, I called today to had the 300.00 moved and the other account closed.
They said it would take a few days
Executive Office did mine, moved all but $2k from my thank you premier to my aadvantage.....also cost me a hard pull.

Ditto...I haven't tried recently, but I did at least 3 times last year. Each time I was advised that they do not allow transfer of limits. I can't remember exactly how I asked the question though. The that is crazy is I had a Hilton gold card, that they would not allow me to upgrade. I really wanted the reserve for the lifetime Gold membership. I applied and got it. I want to close the Hilton Gold (as it now serves no purpose), but they won't let me combine the limits. How did you make the request, over chat?
