Re: Citi raised my limit, question...

Hey annointed, Smiley Happy

If you read the OP's first post, it says that

payments on 4 cards were made. 2 of them

were paid in full to zero, while the other 2 were

paid down to approx 2% of the limit. So as far

as the next credit report is concerned, 2 of the

accounts will show a 0 balance and 2 will reflect

2% of the credit limit. Since one of the cards with a

balance (albeit a low one) is AmEx, I suggested that

in the future the OP pay that in full as well. That's the

only point I was trying to make.

And with AmEx, you never know. You could stop at a

gas station that they don't like to buy a pack of gum,

and the next thing you know they're decreasing your

credit limit. But the odds of this happening are fewer

if you simply PIF AmEx each month and treat it like

a charge card.

Re: Citi raised my limit, question...

Thanks for the good advice.  I will pay off the $52 before the statement cuts.  To keep any of my cc's from closing due to inactivity I will be rotating which one I use each month.  My ultimate goal is to be in the mid to upper 700's with in a year.
