Does anyone have ever got denied for citi and have a successful recon.

Yes -- I applied for the Citi Simplicity in 2015, got denied, and was able to successfully recon. I forget which exact Citi number I called for the recon, but good luck & hope that if you decide to recon that everything works out for you and you are able to be approved!

Yes it happens. It happens with most lenders. It comes down to whether or not your profile or reasoning is worth a second look that may change their mind. YMMV always when it comes to these things.

I was successful calling Citi EO on an old Hilton card. Check under the backdoor numbers, they're friendly:

I did get a verification email for my 3rd Citi. And I think it was because both of my others were caught in a gas station skimmer and they got about 4/5 hundred. I called in and still had to wait a week but it was fine. Never give up when you received an HP.
