It's so stupid how you only got declined because too many inquiries... its like perfect payment history - check. Low util - check. Good AAoA - Check. Inquiries - "WOAH BRO Y U INQUIRIN BRO Y U INQUIRIN??!?!?!"
At the end of the day, it's their decision. Folks can take it personal if they wish. It's just business.

OP if you have more then 6 INQ in the last 6 months, then Citi is not your cup of tea for an increase. Best thing to do is garden for a bit till they pass six months then try again.
Just checked the denial letter, it mentioned nothing about inquiries....
Said my revolving balances were too high???
The only card which has a balance is my Freedom with $1700 on it currently..... Though it did report as $2400 on the credit report.
So out of 60K revolving credit I had used $2400. Apparently thats too much. SMH citi....
Typical citi, jerking me around for no reason. The funny thing is, I can request a CLI on the Forward card and they wont pull my credit report but for my $800 card it says they must request my credit report.
