Citi removed penalty pricing and PC to Double Cash in one sitting

Thanks to this community (from which I learned a lot ), I was able to PC my Diamond Preferred MC to a Double Cash Card yesterday. Citi initially couldn't do the PC due to a penalty APR (currently at 28.24--yikes) I incurred about 5 yrs ago, but my on-time history has been clean ever since. (No lates ever reported to CRAs.) Took 3 calls/chats to finally reach an account manager in Florida who was able to remove the penalty in the system, then agreed to change me over to the Double Cash card. 15.74 is better than 28.24, and I hated those Easy Deals points, so I think I'm in a much better place with the new DC.
