Re: Citi sharing Experian FICO Scores?

I have a Citi MasterCard and the service would not let me register. It gave me this error when I submitted the form: This Citi® Card you entered can not be registered on Citi® Benefit Builder at this time.

But I don't understand what you mean by independent from the credit bureaus.  Vantage was a joint venture development between EQ, TU, and EX.  How is that independent?

and because vantage score is independent -- not connected to any one bureau or lender.  i meant independent as it is the only scoring system other than FICO that is not tied down by any one bureau. and neither is it a scoring system that is owned and run by a bank, such as creditXpert which appears to be run by CitiBank.

of course FICO is even more independent as a scoring system, because it is completely independent of all the bureaus. VantageScore is only somewhat independent as it is an agreement by all three bureaus on a scoring system. since all three bureaus have to participate, each bureau must compromise on how the vantagescoreing system needs to work. in a way that makes it somewhat independent (but kind of dependent) of the bureaus, since each bureau cannot dominate how the scoring system should work.

Re: Citi sharing Experian FICO Scores?

The Credit Analyzer seems to be helpful, but I'm not sure about it.

Your scenario
You selected the following scenario:
Apply for credit 5 time(s) without opening any accounts.

Potential score change
Your credit score is presently 691.
Including the effect of time, these actions may cause your credit score to increase by 18 point(s).
Your new score could be 709.
Your credit is presently Fair.
Your credit could become Good if you take these actions.
What-If Simulator completed these actions over a period of 1 month.

Having 5 more inquiries would increase my score by 18 points?

Re: Citi sharing Experian FICO Scores?

WOW! So I guess based on that scenario if you applied 25-30 times and just didn't accept any new credit you could be a FAKO High Achiever (760+)

Best financial advice I ever got: "Just imagine what an adult would do and do that."

Starting Score: 500's
Current Score: EQ 701 (FICO) TU 721 (FICO) EX 715 (Quizzle)
Goal Score: 760 ALL
