I pulled my Equifax report (free credit report) was curious to see who was soft pulling me. I was expecting AMEX, and they did have 2 soft pulls , but Citi pulled me 16 times from 4/12 to 2/13. My Citi products are a Simplicity card (30k limit, 0 balance) since 2001, and a Citibank checking/savings account. I used the Citi card as a balance transfer card, and paid it off November of last year. Any idea on why they were soft pulling my so much?
I know when you request a CLI from citi aonline it seems like they used a previous soft pull, atleast when I tried yesterday to it said the score was pulled in Feb
That is a ton of soft pulls, .
Some other info that might or might not help. I've never requested a CLI from Citi, they auto increased my to 30K several months after Chase bumped my two cards from them up to 30K in early 2012. I also have no hard inqs in the last 12 months. BTW Experian lists only 3 softs from Citi during the same period, 1 from Citi, 2 from Citi cards. I assume Citi is my Citibank checking/savings account, and Citi cards is my Citi Simplicity which they changed to a Citi Simplicity "World" card.
Have you showed any signs on your other CC's that you might max your $30,000 out ? Like maxing out any other CC's or coming close to it.
16 times? That's a bit excessive even for an audit
Are you sure they are all AR inqs? They might be promotional and or scheduled. Have you used the pre-qualifier site etc... What does the rest of your credit profile look like?
I have no credit card balance of any kind. I use my cards every 6 months or so, small puchases to keep them active PIF. My cards (Amex plat, Chase Freedom, CSP, Discover, Ebay mastercard(GE)) all have similar limits expect for Discover which is about half.

No 5 of those inqs are prefixed PRM, all those are spead from 4/12 to 8/12. I'm not particularly concerned just think its curious.
