Citibank APR increase

I had a platinum plus changed to a dividend select recently. A month later, CLI from 14,400 to 19,900. Today I got an opt out offer vs. a purchases increase from 12.49% to 18.99%. On this card, most of my balance is an old bt, about 2k on purchases. My concern is my other Citi Plat Select with a purchases balance at 5.49%. Is this happening across the board with Citi? I have some debt but my ficos are around 680-710.

I believe someone had a link that said they were doing this to 20 percent of accounts.

Yes. Citibank is raising the rates on an estimated 20 percent of consumers, as debt said. Apparently they are targeting people who haven't had a rate increase in the last 2 years.

my mom got increase but she does not even use the card.
