Citibank Question

I have an equifax score of 633 after a long hard road. Five months ago it was a 412. Yeah I said 412. Today its a 633.  Still have a ways to go.  I applied for a citibank card and after calling in after verifying some info due to a fraud alert they gave me a measley $500 limit. I have a few other cards with the highest being $1070.  THis is my first prime card so I am happy. 0% apr for 12 months. I have very low utilization like at 3%.  Does anyone know a strategy of getting them to increase my limit? I have to baddies from 05 still on report. Since then I have been great, being all of negatives have been paid and DELETED.

Re: Citibank Question

Charge some, pay it off. Carry a small balance less than 9 percent. Try to wait past six mos- really try to wait one year. Should definintly get one at one year.

I have Citi. They are VERY generous with CLIs. They may start you off low, but be patient. You'll get up to the 5 digits in no time. Only took me a year to get from 3.5k to 11.6k.

Agreed. Citi is extremely generous as long as you are responsible.
