Has anyone been approved recently for a credit card with Citibank with a paid judgement on their credit reports?
guess not many people are applying for citi cards lately.
I have a friend who is a banker at Citi and he says they are pretty conservative when it comes to black marks on your credit report. Although they did approve me for a custom credit line even though I have a recent judgment as well. However, he did say that credit lines are decided more for your relationship with the bank than with your credit report.
Hi, new here, but been reading these forums for a few weeks. I just applied for a Citi TY card and was approved and I have 2 paid judgements on my credit report.
Don't have any derogs on my report, but why are paid judgmenst seen as making one uncredit-worthy? I'm thinking of something along the lines of you're sued for negligently causing an injury, found liable and then pay the damages. Since most judgments against individuals go unpaid or partially paid, I'd think a paid judgment would be a sign of *good* credit.
EDIT: Obviously, a paid judgment that resulted from getting sued for unpaid debt is a different story.

I did a search and found a few people who were approved with public records on their credit reports. How old and for how much were your judgements if I may ask?

Assuming your theory is correct, your credit report shows minimal information on any judgments. How would a creditor know if the judgment was the result of a massive credit default or being sued, say, from a property line dispute?
I think a satisfied judgement of 5+ years should be ok, assuming there aren't any other major derogs on the report.
Once a relationship has been established, I doubt they'd even care about "satisfied" judgements or liens. They're primary concern are open debts where you could lead to a higher chance of bankruptcy (every CC issuer's worst nightmare).
