Citicards Account Manager Said...

So, I todl the citicards account manager last night that I was paying off 1/2 of my debt and my score should go up like 30 or 40 points and I asked if I would get an Auto CLI on my card and she said, they no longer offer auto CLI's, Citi sends out letters telling people to apply for the increase and a CR is not pulled at all.

Can anyone confirm this, has anyone received one of these letters?

Also, if you did get an auto CLI when did you get it?

Re: Citicards Account Manager Said...

I certainly did not receive such letter. Although that account manager is partially correct. Citi rarely does auto CLI, you have to apply on your own. If you fill out the forum online Citi usually will counter your CLI request. Only when you insist on high CLI will Citi HP you.

Re: Citicards Account Manager Said...

Citi used to give me an auto-CLI once or twice a year. In my case, that stopped in 2008 as I recall.
