Clarification: 2 Amex cards, 1 inquiry technique

Tomorrow is my 61 day for my most recent everyday Amex, though my MSD is 1997. I would like to beef up my AAoC with two more cards. To convert them into one inquiry, does it need to be a credit card and a charge card ? Cannot be 2 credit cards? I also understand it doesn't always work. Thanks for your time in advance.

I understand why it can't be two credit cards, as you cannot apply for more than 1, you must wait 5 days

Its not 100% that you can do 1 charge and 1 revolver from what i have read. I am going to try it later in the year hopefully its one HP :-)
