Close Citi Card?

Should I close out my simplicity card if I have the AA Personal and Business cards in mind for the next app time? Don't really use it. Util across all accounts is 2% so it shouldnt make much difference. Opened it last May.

I love Citi, but Simplicity seems like a fairly basic card. See if they'll move the CL, at least?

Current cards: MSUFCU Platinum, Amex PRG, Amex Surpass, Amex BCE, Citi Prestige, Citi Double Cash, Citi Premier, US Bank Cash +, Huntington Voice, AAviator, Sallie Mae, Discover IT, Chase Freedom TU:753 EQ Enhanced: 758

Simplicity is the Chase Slate equivelent. It serves a purpose.

Re: Close Citi Card?

Lots of people on here say Citi won't budge on moving credit limits.

Re: Close Citi Card?

Some people have had CL's moved, some people haven't. Luck of the draw.

just keep it for now.

If they're not willing to extend you more credit, then offer to close out the account or reduce your Simplicity's CL.

Re: Close Citi Card?

Funny thing is I opened it specifically for the good Bt intro. That expired 2 months after and I never got another BT offer since. BT not available at all for me on that card.
