I opened a Fry's Electronics Card back in April 2007. I never used it once since it was only approved for $250 at that time. I let the account close due to inactivity. EX and TU both report this account as paid and closed. However, EQ has never reported it as closed and still shows it as open with no balance and a date reported of March 2010.
Should I leave it as is and keep the account history for AAoA, or dispute to have it marked as closed? Any negative impacts of it sitting at zero balance since it hasn't been reported since March 2010?

Theres really no downside to just leaving it alone and letting it fall off since its not negative. Why hassle with removing a positive account?
I didn't think there would be any downside. Just a bit curious if it has any impact since there's no activity on it ever.

I don't see what impact it would really have. It's a tiny limit, so any impact is going to be pretty neglible, positive or negative. I just wouldn't waste time trying to remove something that's not hurting you.
The longer it stays on there the older it gets. hence in return. will help your AAoA,. even after the 10 year mark. example. My mother actually has a 46 year old sears card. which she has not used in 20 years. i can't begin to tell you what affect on her credit it has. mid 800s. it still reports open after all this time. now if i can only get her to add me as AU. Bonanza.

Shouldn't be. I have several of those crappy cards sitting in the "closed" category.

I agree 100%. I made that mistake years ago-asking for an account to update as closed at consumer's request/paid as agreed, and the CRA removed the positive account from my profile. SMH
I agree with everybody else; unless you're having a problem getting approved due to "excessive store cards" or something similar, I would leave it alone.
If you decide for some reason it does need to go, a simple dispute will have it removed quickly and easily.
