Closed Kohls

They've been pretty good to me had it just a year now with one increase from $500 to $1500 a few months ago. But I also carried a balance a few times and then PIF after two statements. It's come in handy especially twice for back to school last year and this year. I like it so far. At first I thought they were going to hit the chopping block until that increase.

I've hit the max limit of $3K. Considering closing it myself since I haven't shopped there since I worked there and Macy's has way better quality of items. 30% off isn't a huge difference and I don't care to continuously go back and shop there to fully utilize Kohls cash and the Yes2You rewards (which I can't even get)

i did apply about 3 months ago and i was denied due to too many inquiries (8), now after reading this i DON'T FEEL BAD  and thanks for sharing

Sorry to hear CA. The only reason I keep mine is the generous return policy and to a lesser extent the really cheap clearance ties (my work is old school were expected to dress up)

You just freed up your capital one max card count too!! LOL... oh wait..I forgot, you've got NM as well. Congrats on closing it. I got one shortly after BK, closed it 6 months later, then don't ask me why, but I got another one, then closed it 3 months later. LMAO>>> Im NOT getting a 3rd one!!!

I'm about to do the exact same thing. I've had it a year and they just won't budge. The discounts are nice but then Kohl's is horribly overpriced anyway, so by the time the discount applies you're just paying what you'd pay somewhere else without the hassle of discount coupons & expiring Kohl's cash.

The combination of items on sale, +30% coupon, +20% Kohl's cash, 10%+ off gift cards, and 5%+ through a portal makes this a keeper for me. Once you stack all of that Kohls has some incredible values. The GCs work with the coupons so long as at least part of the purchase is on the Kohls card.

Yup and they just added Columbia to that list as well. I'm an associate also. I believe Nike is on the list also and a few fragrances.

I have the 3k limit. Kohls is alright esp if u shop clearance.
