Closed it by automated system so chose not to speak with anyone.. Easier that way

Maybe comenity bank is either having trouble or getting ready for something. Way to many AA reports. IMO

Probably just more defaults or something, but obviously we don't know this kinda info.. I didn't have AA, but just didn't need the card anymore as I have much better cards and plenty of credit available and this was my highest APR card so only made sense to close it with all the crud they are doing to others.  I understand a lender has the right to close an account for any reason, but IMO they are being rash on how they are handling these things and as stated prefer to do it on my terms vs. theirs.  I very well could of been fine, but rather free up some credit for future cards of more "stable" lenders that aren't a knee jerk reactor

Know this sounds tacky, but why would someone want to carry a card that isnt reliable to use?    Yeah banks can do whatever they want but why do I as a customer want to take the risk of denying a transaction when I have other cards from banks that arent quite so jumpy....
