Closed rebuilder card

I closed my Continental Finance card today! It feels good to not have that $15 monthly payment anymore longer. They are raising their monthly fee to $18 in October with a new change in terms.  $18!  That's crazy... I also finally saved enough money and opened a $1500 secured card with my local credit union SECU. It's been a long time coming. Now if I just need to cancel my First Premier card and wait for my collections to come off my CR in Oct and Nov.

Congratulations!

Best of luck toward the end of the year. You should be able to qualify for regular bankcards then!

Congrats!  Feels good, doesn't it, to kick an expensive CC to the curb?
