Congrats!
I closed mine a couple months ago. No shenanigans from FP--it was closed per my request, reported a 0 balance and I even got a refund of my last monthly maintenance fee.
I hope your experience goes as smoothly and professionally as mine did.
Wow a refund...yah that would be the icing on the cake. $6.25 back in my wallet or to buy some cheap champagne to celebrate

Woot Woot! $6.25? You were lucky. I was getting charged $14.50 per month (.....GASP.....)
I closed that FP acct Long time ago but thinking back on it, i remember them wanting to refund my AF and also said something about in order to have good credit it's good to have acct open and about my credit being reported to each Credit Bureaus or something
I heard that it's against the law to use say something like that but either way they served me well even though I gave them alot of unnessary money
