Do you use all those Citi cards? I would combine down to two cards whose rewards I want.

Oh I forgot I also use the Playstation card for my PSN purchases which basically makes it worth it alone. Gamestop I will after thinking. As far as the GM card goes I like that its a WEMC. Freedom I wouldn't close since I actually prefer it over Discover but not going to close Discover because its my oldest card. Ebay I probably should of never opened but it is brand new so i probably will in a few months.
Yes I use all those Citi cards with the exception of the Simplciity which I have closed.
Are you considering "machete" solutions? Or just "scalpel" ones?
I'd close a lot more than just two cards in your situation, but don't want to waste time going into details if you do plan to keep the vast majority of them.

Well that answers that! Sounds like you don't want to close any of your cards ... but you asked!

I am more interested in triming it down one to fours cards closed

Well I do agree with closing the Ebay card....jsut that it is brand new and rather not open one to just close a few weeks later. As far as the gamestop one I havent really used it so I probably will. The list of cards I am probably going to close:
Gamestop
Macy's
Chase amazon visa.
Ebay down the road.
Bestbuy one I honestly don't know. I shop there a lot and don't even bother using the card often. I do use it at times because I get 5% in rewards and I am an elite member.

Do you plan on getting a AF card that will make your URs and/or TYs transferrable?

No but UR is a simple 1 point = 1 penny so its a simply CB card similar to the discover it. Honeslty might consider closing the Slate since it is now useless but I do like the FICO score it offers.
As far as the Thank you card goes I do usually just use the points build up and just use it on Amazon for purchases. I know the point valuation sucks like that but I don't mind. I am putting most of my spending with my AA card and now my Citi Hilton card once that comes in the mail to make the bonus. Probaby Split my spending with my Citi AA, Amex Hilton along with my citi DC and I got the Citi Hilton to be my dedicated Costco card.
Here i willl lay it out:
General Spending: Amex Hilton, Citi AA and then rotating my citi DC, Citi Thank you and BoA MLB
Costco: Citi Hilton and Chase freedom
Car Rentals: Citi AA
Hotels: Amex Hilton ( I generally like staying at hiltons or Marriott branded)
If I close the slate and say open another one in like 3-5 year I can get the 0% intro balance APR with $0 fee? or that only goes for point bonuses?
My school of thought is if the card gives you benefits others do, close it.. I am closing all store cards. I just got caught up on the " congratulations you are approved" screen. I still need to close some of my store cards.
The cash back cards can not be beat IMO. Everything else is sub- prime with the exeption of 5% discount on lowes and home depot. Maybe some miles and hotel cards as well.
My good credit works for me, I do not work for it.
It was not always like this. But after a million hours logged into this site reading and asking questions my score went from low 500's to 745.
VERY NICE AND HELPFUL PEOPLE HERE.
