Re: Compass Bank

compass bank is a southern bank based around birmingham, al and has operations in about 6 to 7 southern states mostly. they were recently bought out by a spanish bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria - hence the new name BBVA compass - there credit card portfolio is handled by HSBC though so be careful a bit ...

on another note BBVA compass has a great promotion on where you can earn $150 by opening a new checking account before feb 28, 2010.

you have to set up free bill pay and pay atleast five payments a month to earn 75

and then set up direct deposit to earn another 75

here is the link to that promo:

Re: Compass Bank

My girlfriend has a checking account with them, and when she responded to their invitation she was approved for $10,000.  So, I would say they are good:smileyhappy:
