I googled a bit and it looks like not only US bank, but chase, kroger, walgreens and tivo users data is also compromised. Though they are saying its only names and emails. (hope so).
I have read in another post that DI also got a similar mail from US Bank. Wondering if all US Bank card holders got something like this mail? Will chase send out some notification? Any chance more was stolen and banks underplaying this?
I'm now ready for my one year free credit monitoring subscription.
I received this last night, also. I'm not a US Bank CC holder, but I do have a checking account with them.
so its not just card holders its all their account holders who may be impacted.
I received this same e-mail from US Bank and Barclays.
Citi also has a warning about this before you log on to your account.
I have several accounts with US Bank and I have not received any notice as of today. I wonder if it is an "area" issue. I live in So Cal.
I bank with Chase and there is a message on the main website before you log it, but I didn't receive an email. This is disturbing but I'm not surprised.

U.S. Bank notified its VIP customers only. Ha
I have accounts with Chase and CITI. Both websites are alerting me to the problem. This might explain some of the odd emails I've been getting.
