I currently have a Chase Freedom, if I understand correctly, opening a checking account tomorrow would grandfather me in?

Approved for $5k, and had the CSR put a memo on my account about being grandfathered for 10+10. Cool!

After getting confirmation through secure messages, I called the number on the back of my CSP to hear verbal confirmation considering I just applied and was approved yesterday. She said yes!

Meh. It was a good program, but I'm getting ready to close my Chase checking account in favor of credit unions anyways. No big deal. I am curious though, I just got an offer a week or two ago for the freedom and it specifically mentioned the 10/10 program. I believe the offer was supposed to be good through the end of the year. Seems weird that they would still be advertising it if they are dropping it.
