So I put in an inquiry two weeks ago for Amex waive my AF for my Platinum card because I'm active duty military. Well I got the email from them today, and they said they would waive it for my PRG and BCE. well as we all know, PRG is waived for the 1st year, and BCE doesn't have an AF. I'm confused. Should I just call them and see what's up? Thanks.
Sounds like it was a canned/scripted response. Just contact them to make sure they have the right product/AF waived.
Thanks!
I called Amex today and spoke to the CSR(US, not India) and she was very helpful in explaining everything. The close out date for their investigation for my inquiry is today, so I'll be receiving an email along with a letter stating that all of the fees will be waived for my PRG/Platinum cards so long as I'm active duty! Feels good knowing I don't have to shell out $625 every year.
P.S. I was originally told that the inquiry would take 6wks to complete. I asked the former CSR if it could be done faster. She expressed to me that it would go all the way to the 6wks. I don't know how they operate, but they didn't it with great expediency! Amex has been primo so far!!!
