Thanks for the advice. I work too much now to take care of my own properties as I should, and wouldn't have time to do "side work" or take classes, so that is not really an option. As for the financial aid, it's not that easy. You can't just not claim your child on your tax return, she would need to have her own address and show income to support herself to show that she is independent of you to relieve you of the responsibility of contributing to her college tuition. They use the household income where she lives (or lived before she started school). Also, the "expected family contribution" that FAFSA calclates doesn't mean that the aid will cover the difference. It doesn't now, and wouldn't with her paying for her own tuition.  As I wrote in a post a few above this one, this was a problem from 7 months ago, and I'm doing fine now. Thanks.
