If you are keeping enough cash back for emergencies (without having to touch your retirement account!), then go for it.
It seems the mental hassle of having this loan is tougher on you than taking the small risk of doing this. You know the possible consequences (possible AA from Citi on down the line), and you will accept those consequences if they come.
Do what makes you the most comfortable and gives you peace of mind. Peace of mind is worth a lot.
