They will be charging me a $50 annual fee if i dont cancel today! I have a balance of $284 and a BT check on the way and will post anyday Monday or Tuesday!

But the fee will still be on there Monday if i dont stop/close the account! should i still close it today?

You can call the and ask them to close the account. Even though they close the account the balance will be there and you can pay it off once the BT check comes in. I would not pay them $50 for no reason especially if you are planning on closing the account.
