I've always found it interesting that you can order from SamsClub.com & use your AMEX, but not in the store. You can buy Walmart shopping cards in-store, pay with AMEX (earn membership rewards) & use dually at Sam's Club online/in-store. I don't know if it's the swipe fee they're avoiding or what, but that's how I've gotten around using my Anex green. Someday maybe the True Earnings Costco card for me, but I'd have to drive 20 miles to the nearest location & gas is $3.65/gallon regular.
They have exclusive deals with each other.
Sams is exclusive with Discover. You cannot use a Visa CC only debit card. You can use MC.
Costco is AMEX exclusive. Correct me if im wrong here guys can you use VISA/MC there?
Nop you cannot use VISA/MC CC in Costco, just Debit, and AMEX
Thats just grimy lol. Well im SOL if AMEX decides they dont wanna play with me no more......
You can get around that if you have an Amex card issued by another bank. For example, if you have the Fidelity Amex, you can get 2% on all purchases at Costco, which sounds pretty nice.

Thats the card I want from American Express...love to shop at Costco. I am going to wait till the end of the year to apply for it. Got a paid collection from a remaining balance of a student tuition ($290) that is only 1.3 yrs old on my Experian report plus one paid and one unpaid credit card charge offs from early 2007 and not counting 8 inquiries in the last year there so i dont think i have a shot at getting in with the AE family right now. But that is one very good looking card!!....
