I would not necessarly worry about a hard pull hurting your credit score, Inquiries usually have a small impact in scoring.

Chase Freedom currently have a 3% balance transfer fee, in your case, it would cost you $75.00.

The Chase Slate, there is no balance transfer fee if you balance transfer at the time of application or within 60 days after

you open the account.

In my opinion, this would be a good option.

However, each their own
